As you may know now, I have been cooking basically all my life. Many of my specialties are the kind of meals I make outside, but then there are few, which I have made as “indoors” food, such as candle light dinners, or party snacks.
The recipe my friends have been asking the most, is my famous potato salad. It is fresh and something that even kids seem to like. And of course, it is really easy to make.
Below is the video with more instructions, but as a tip I can say: chop all ingredients as small as you can, but leave the (al-dente) potatoes quite big. In that way the structure becomes perfect. And make it one day before serving.
(the ingredients list is below the video).
Potato salad recipe
5 – 6 normal size potatoes (boiled and then cooled off)
2-3 pickles
half of leek
1 smallish onion (preferably red)
1 apple
1,5 dl (1/3 cup) sour cream (kermaviili) or natural yogurt
1,5 dl (1/3 cup) mayo
2 teaspoons mustard (Dijon)
some salt & black pepper
Chop and Mix everything together. Put the apple last, so it will not turn brown.
You can decorate it with some chives.
